|LCCR and LISC Provide Business Support, Legal Assistance, and Access to Capital|
Happy 2017! If your New Year's resolution is to grow your small business, we can help. The Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights and Economic Justice (LCCR) and the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) provide women, minority, immigrant, and low-income business owners with free legal assistance, business support, and access to capital to get your business to the next level.
- LCCR, through the Economic Justice Project, provides entrepreneurs and business owners in disadvantaged communities with business support and legal assistance to build sustainable businesses and achieve economic self-sufficiency. Through individualized representation and educational programming, we work to empower small business owners and close the opportunity gap. In 2016 alone, we served over 200 entrepreneurs and small businesses. These businesses are the engines fueling economic growth in Massachusetts. - LISC, in partnership with Northeastern University, has launched Impact Lending, an initiative to help small business owners in Boston and abroad access affordable capital and connect to vendor opportunities at Northeastern. Through Impact Lending, business owners can apply for up to $1 million in financing for working capital, equipment, and inventory, real estate, leasehold improvements, refinancing high-interest debt – virtually any business purpose. Apply for an Impact Lending loan, and you'll join more than 70 business owners who have reached out for affordable financing. Interested in learning more about the Impact Lending program?
